The Steel Network
VIDEO
DIRECTING/PRODUCING/VIDEOGRAPHY/EDITING
This is a project I did for a light steel manufacturing company called The Steel Network. Our goal was to tell the story of how The Steel Network’s design assist aided their client, Agent Walls, in preparing, submitting for, and winning the bid to successfully begin construction on their project. Because the construction process takes months to complete and we didn’t have time to wait, I needed to pick the right time to visit the construction site.
I decided to plan my shoot around the time the framing would be exposed in order for me to provide some context to the project as well as highlight some of TSN’s products. I had a blast exploring the construction site, and getting creative with all the different types of shots I could get. With steel being so reflective and the walls being exposed, lighting was an element I particularly enjoyed experimenting.
MOTION DESIGN
PRE-PODUCTION/ANIMATION
I wanted the overall design for this project to be bold, dynamic, and representative of The Steel Network’s brand. I felt like this was achieved through the choice of font and it’s variations, the TSN blue, as well as the directional animation.
